She is a religious holiday-goer and Christmas, despite her grandparents reside situated in Israel. She said she attended the Catholic high school because it was less expensive in comparison to Jewish. Her mother Lana is a bank executive and her dad Michael Trachtenberg is a fiber-optics engineer. Michelle Trachtenberg began her career at a young age. She has played in several commercials, films as well as television shows. The most famous of them is her character of Dawn Summers in Buffy the Vampire Slayer Michelle Trachtenberg grew as a child with her sibling, Irene who lived in Sheepshead Bay, Brooklyn. She attended The Bay Academy for the Arts and Sciences in the year she was the junior high schooler. Her studies continued at Notre Dame High School, Sherman Oaks. She is fluent in Russian.
